Waterways and a progressive and growing business community are what Chesapeake is all about. Hampton is a community that has undrgone a lot of changes, but it still reflects its roots in both housing opportunities and the people that live here. Located near Langley and the Langley Research Center, Hampton has an IMAX theatre. You can also explore a renovated downtown waterfront that is not to be missed.
Shipbuilding and Joint base Langley Eustis are big impacts on the city of Newport News. The Northrop Grumman Shipyard is the US's largest naval manufacturer, Virginia's largest industrial manufacturer and employs over 20,000. But beyond the shipbuilding and military base, there is an amazing city with parks, and green spaces that are perfect for family life.
Known for being home to the Norfolk Naval Base, the cities rich military history is of course a prominent feature. Tourism is a large attraction. Miles and miles of waterfront scenery offer a large variety of ways to recreate. Housing options are varied from large estates to federal style roadhouses
Portsmouth offers a virtually unlimited array of options for its residents. Aside from a wide variety of housing choices, where you can get virtually anything that you want, the lifestyle choices are equally varied. You can golf at some of the best courses in the state, ride on the Elizabeth river ferry, explore the Children's museum or even enjoy a relaxing shopping experience downtown. It is literally all here.
Like much of Hampton Roads, Suffolk has a wide variety of houses and housing options from urban settings to quiet and serene suburbs. There are even rural properties with equestrian facilities. But beyond that, Suffolk is a city that likes to celebrate. There are a number of festivals and events for all types of lifestyles.
Virginia Beach is far more than just a beach! But the incredible beaches is what it is known for. There are recreational opportunities galore, from the beaches to parks to Mount Trashmore Park, which has a skate park and two lakes inside of it. Why not live where most people vacation!
